Sligo Acupuncture Clinic, in reopening during the Covid-19 pandemic is adhering to advice from the Acupuncture Council of Ireland, and observing the government’s ‘Return to Work Safely Protocol’.
In line with this advice we will be providing services for patients who do not have Covid-19 or symptoms of Covid-19.
Please take time to read the details below, for your own safety and the safety of your family and the community.
YOUR STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO ATTENDING YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT
PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT
Prior to your appointment you may need to have an initial consultation, which will be conducted by video or telephone call. This prior contact is in order to minimise conversation in the clinic.
You will need to complete a Pre-Treatment Screening Check close to your appointment time to ensure you are clear of symptoms of Covid-19.
If you start to develop symptoms subsequent to this check, or you’ve been in close contact with someone who has, then we will need to rearrange your appointment for a date after a period of quarantine.
PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME
Please attend for your appointment at the agreed time, not before, as there will be no waiting room facilities available. We must start and finish appointments on schedule to allow for essential cleaning of the room between appointments.
We will be wearing a face mask. We ask that you also wear a mask when entering the building and during your time in the clinic room, unless we ask you to remove it.
On arrival into the clinic you will be directed to sanitise your hands and also when leaving. We will open and close the door for you.
I will be using a no-contact thermometer to take and record your temperature.
Please download, read and sign the Informed Consent Form below prior to attending your appointment, and bring the completed form with you. If you do not have access to a printer there will be forms available in the clinic for you to sign.
If you start to develop a cough, fever, breathlessness or loss of taste or smell in the days after your treatment (up to 2 weeks) you must let us know immediately.
If you have been asked to take a photograph of your tongue, please follow the instructions in this video .
